"Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn't you - all of the expectations, all of the beliefs - and becoming who you are."
-Rachel Naomi Remen
ABOUT THERAPY
Personalized Attention for Your Needs
We are all “in process”, healing from symptoms, patterns in relationships, expectations, grief and loss, various forms of trauma (e.g., family of origin trauma, racial trauma, immigration, gender, sexuality, religion, etc.), among many other things.
Therapy is an opportunity to cultivate an understanding of yourself, your relationships, and your lived experiences. Together, and at your pace, we can help understand these patterns in living.
The more you cultivate self-understanding the better equipped you may feel to choose how you want to continue building your life and get relief from symptoms you might be experiencing. I am here to be on this journey with you to get you to where you want to be in your life—mentally, emotionally, and in your career and relationships.

MY SERVICES
COMPASSIONATE, CULTURALLY-CONGRUENT, INCLUSIVE CARE.
Dr. Natalia Báez-Powell (she/her/ella) is a Latinx licensed clinical psychologist.
I work from an integrative, relational insight-oriented (psychodynamic) perspective with a multicultural, intersectional lens focusing on issues of identity development, life transitions, mood disorders, relational and racial trauma, sexual assault, and immigration. While working from this perspective, I also aim to empower and equip clients with tailored skills to cope with the challenges of life and therapy. I also specialize in trauma-informed, decolonial practice seeing clients who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and gender non-conforming, as well as providing sex- and body-affirmative care to poly, kink, and BDSM active clients.
If you are interested in learning more, please contact me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to determine if we are a good therapeutic fit for each other. I look forward to hearing from you!
I was trained in integrative, psychodynamic clinical supervision for individual and group therapy and comprehensive psychological assessments through The George Washington University and the Washington School of Psychiatry Supervision Training Program. I offer clinical supervision to clinicians in training, licensed clinicians, and for case-specific consultation.
